Is AI going to kill us or are we going to do that all by ourselves?
I recently saw a post of a TikToker reviewing the food from the Tesla diner where he waited 2-3 hours for his food. On the menu (in this particular instance):
– Chicken and Waffle sandwich
– Smashburger
– Fried Pickles
– Hot Dog
– Cinnamon Roll
Above all he gave lukewarm reviews, as seen across the internet.
But as I watched him fill his gullet with what I can only imagine to be over 5,000+ calories of trash food – I thought to myself:
“AI is not going to extinct humanity, we’re going to do that all by ourselves.”
Let’s review. Dude is in a vehicle that ultimately will be fully-autonomous, sitting sedentary, ordering “poison” (harmful food) that is known to be addictive with no physical effort, stuffing it down, and then going back to what I can only imagine is another sedentary job (recording food review videos).
To put that into perspective, bro would need to run 50 miles to burn those 5,000 calories. 50 miles!
So yeah – my hot take is that convenience was slowly, but now much more quickly – killing the western world.
